Match typefaces from the same family

If you want to match serif and sans-serif typefaces but are not sure which combinations are correct, you can always find two typefaces from the same family.

For example, “Freight Sans” typeface makes a really good match with “Freight Text” because both are created by the same designer and share some characteristics.

Another good example is “PT Sans” with “PT Serif” or “PT Sans Narrow.” You basically can’t go wrong with those combinations.
